Perry takes jab at Romney over controversial ‘$10,000 bet’
(IOWA) – Last night all of the current GOP hopefuls took to the debate stage debating some intense topics for the world to watch. Behind the typical remarks from Newt Gingrich — the attention grabber of the night was none other than Mitt Romney who dared to make a $10,000 bet comparing it to a $10 bet of that of a normal citizen.
“For most Iowans, having an extra 10,000 (dollars) that you would throw down on a bet seems very out of the ordinary.” Perry told a few reporters after his speech, according to a tweet from the Daily Caller‘s Alex Pappas.
Romney underwent severe trash talk on Twitter last night — as it was seen he was the #1 trending topic worldwide. With the hashtag #what10kbuys most users tweeted things in the neighborhood of ’10k could’ve bought things for the less fortunate.
