Weather Warning: Major storm preparing to hit Southwest: Holiday travelers beware
(REPORTING FROM NEW MEXICO) – The National Weather Service has issued a weather warning in effect until Tuesday for parts of Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas — as a severe winter storm is expected to bring high winds and likely more than a foot of snow to the region.
The storm was expected to make way into the mountains of Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado before heading far east on Sunday night/ Monday morning the agency told the press.
A blizzard watch means forecasters believe life-threatening winter weather conditions are likely, including winds of at least 35 mph and visibility less than a quarter mile.
