Winning: Hip Hop Super Producer JStaffz chats with Daily News for the first time
When I sold my first beat that was pretty good inspiration I suppose but I love music and if I could do that and make money then perfect.
Pharrell William and Stevie Wonder.
3.) What can we expect from you in 2012? Ever think about going to television?
A lot of big records with big artists and really expanding my brand.
4.) Which is your most successful project to date?
Working with Tony Yayo & Wiz Khalifa.
5.) Are you a self-made success? Or did somebody ‘Discover‘ You?
Self made. I don’t need to discovered in my opinion. By the time I get to the point where an artists would want to co-sign me it’ll be too late to “discover” me.
6.) In your opinion, what is the thing you like most about producing music? The outcome of a project? Or the success it may bring ?
I love beats and making music. I just love making music that I like. I listen to my own beats all the time and make up records for other people.
7.) What do you usually do when looking for a new partner to create something fresh?
I look for uniqueness and professionalism. All talent could be developed. I think being creative, having that drive and being professional is most people’s drawbacks.
8.) Your thoughts on the death of Slim Dunkin ?
Sadly I never heard of him until he passed away recently. I know his music and I never even knew. My thoughts are things like that happen entirely too often.
Take piano lessons and learn about key signature and different chord progressions, think outside of the box and promote yourself.
10.) How did you feel when you hit it big with Khalifa & all that?
Felt dope. I’m always looking to work with new artists and when I met him it was back in 2009 with Boogz Boogetz. To see him be as big as he is now is just inspiring so it was definitely a blessing.
