Just after 1:30 a.m (EST) The Republican Party of Virginia announced via it’s Twitter page that Newt Gingrich was booted out of the Virginia Primary effective immediately.

Their reasoning for the boot — is rather simple. Gingrich did not by any means garner or obtain the required 1ok signatures to secure his spot in the primary.

Texas Governor Rick Perry also did not make the ballot.
