Bizarre: 7 Florida teens charged in beating student unconscious
MIAMI: A total of 7 central Florida teenagers were charged tonight after they were arrested for punching and kicking a vulnerable 13 year old girl until she reportedly fell unconscious.
The abused victim told local authorities Friday that that day was her first time ever riding the bus and not one single person would let her sit down. A reported 75 children were riding the bus at the time, bound for a middle school in Ocala, a rural city just a few miles north of the city of Orlando.
According to an arrest report — one girl allegedly asked students if they wanted to strike the victim by physically hitting her, then suddenly instructing the teens to form a circle and began hitting and continuously kicking the 13 year old victim.
Witnesses report after seeing the beating the 13 year old passed like she was having a ‘Seizure.
The same witness report also suggests that the teenagers involved will be charged with ‘Battery as a group’ against the 13 year old female.
School officials said it’s unlikely the defendants will be allowed on campus until their cases are resolved.
