5 questions with acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman

She’s won America’s heart as an actress with versatile abilities on screen, one of our favorite pictures of hers being Cold Mountain [best movie ever].  We had the chance to catch up with Kidman down under in Australia, while she’s spending quality R&R with her family, and even  tagging along while hubby Keith Urban films the Aussie Version of ‘The Voice’.

What do you find to be your favorite part about being an actress?

I really think my favorite part about being an actress would likely be the ability to be so many different kinds of people on screen than I actually am off. Off screen I’m just Nicole, on screen I’m all kinds of people which is always entertaining because it requires so much work to become a different person.

Do you have any movies planned in the future?

Unfortunately, I can’t talk about any future projects as some of them are still being worked on. Although I will say you can expect to see at least one movie from me in the next 2 years. Right now, I’m visiting Australia which is great because it is my home country.  It’ll be a blast to film the ‘Voice’ with Keith!

What is more fulfilling to you as an actress, being on screen with actors you respect, or seeing yourself doing an outstanding job in movies like Cold Mountain?

Definitely, most definitely working with actors I respect. Acting is a craft that you have to hone as you go along, and there’s really no better way to hone such a thing than to experience it with professional others who have such great insight and tips for people who may not be as good as they are.

What are you wearing this season in fashion?

I’m into the normal kind of things this season. I haven’t really had a chance to venture into boutiques yet, which is unfortunate, but even then I don’t always shop ’till I drop’ with all of the materials coming out. I do, love  Rachel Zoe’s new line however.

One piece of advice you would give to another female, who wanted to be like you?

I’d say remember where you came from at all times. Hollywood can get to your head faster than you would ever imagine.  In a world like Hollywood, your given millions of dollars to stand in front a camera crew acting out parts for 6 hours — while in the real world it’d likely take some time to earn that kind of money.

With that kind of money comes responsibility. It’s truly unfortunate to see so many people lose themselves in all of the fantastic things ‘Celebrity’ has to offer.
