Breaking News: Evacuation of Homs Syria begins

TUNISIA:  Leaders from more than 60 nation’s around the globe gathered in Tunis this afternoon in attempt to begin evacuation of it’s people, bring in the United Nations, and provide medical help to those severely injured.

Within those leaders was U.S Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton, who is pushing for an immediate evacuation of the violence stricken city of Hom’s where just this week award winning journalist Marie Colvin was killed by a rocket attack while on the back of a motorcycle in the city.

According to The International Committee of the Red Cross, the Syrian Red Crescent has begun evacuations of some women and children after three weeks of dangerous bombardment in Homs that has left the city with many wounded not to mention desperate for food and medicine.

Hicham Hassan, a spokesman for Red Cross, said immediate negotiations were continuing into tomorrow to remove two Western journalists who were severely wounded earlier this week from the neighborhood Baba Amr. Another spokesperson said seven wounded people have already been taken from the area to a nearby hospital.

Leaders gathered in Tunisia‘s capital for the meeting which is called ‘Friends of the Syrian People’ . Each also pledged to tighten sanctions and travel bans against President Bashar al-Assad and his senior aides.  That isn’t all however, considering they also pledged to provide millions of dollars in aide including food, medicine, and evacuation help for those in need.
