In the continuing controversy of George Zimmerman, it emerged today that a new twist has taken it’s turn on the story itself. According to The Examiner, a letter has surfaced online that was actually meant for the NAACP from a ‘member of Zimmerman’s family’ who says ‘blood will be on their hands if George is hurt’.

The letter reads:

“There has been an unprecedented rush to judge George regardless of the facts. The black community as a whole has turned their backs and blindly followed the furor stirred up by self-proclaimed leaders of your community. These leaders have rallies and chant horrible things of a person they know nothing about.”

It’s concerning that ‘Whites’ or the extremists if you must are belittling the African Americans for alleged ‘calls of violence’ against Zimmerman, but a clear cut letter written by a Hispanic can call for violence against the NAACP and not get belittled for it?

Do we need anymore evidence that our modern day society is divided by racism?
