‘You got me’ How Luka Magnotta meekly surrendered to Berlin authorities
BERLIN, GERMANY: After spending about an hour inside an internet cafe reading about himself, Luka Rocco Magnotta was apprehended by authorities after another visitor to the same cafe recognized him from news reports he had read prior to arriving at the cafe itself.
According to authorities, Magnotta tried to give a ‘false name’ and eventually said ‘You got me’ after he realized he couldn’t get out of the situation. He was arrested at the Internet Cafe on Karl Marx Strasse in the Neukoelln borough of Berlin. The arrest took place at about 1:30 p.m. local Berlin time.
