LAWNDALE, NORTH CAROLINA: When many fail, some sit in their bedrooms weeping for days — but that doesn’t work for everybody. Prime example? 18-year-old high school graduate Dawn Loggins, whom was formerly homeless until she found out she’d be attending Harvard University in the fall.

According to Y! Shine, Loggins sometime last year discovered that her parents had pretty much ‘Cut her off’ even going as far to disconnect herĀ  mobile phone; and dumping off her grandmother at a local homeless shelter before fleeing the state.

Highlight of Mrs Loggin’s story? ‘What was I to do? Cry about it?’ because she didn’t she preserved herself and came out with the opportunity of a lifetime.
