U.S Embassy: ‘Americans leave now’ terror threat leaves Americans fleeing Kenya
NAIROBI, KENYA: According to the U.S Embassy in Nairobi, a warning to all Americans has been issued. The Embassy issued the warning to inform Americans in the territory, that it is in their best-interest to flee the territory immediately.
Officials in Kenya say the 2nd largest city in the territory (Mombosa) may soon be under attack, and is working to evacuate all of its government officials before that happens.
All government travel within the territory itself has been suspended until July 1st, the Embassy hopes that citizens will also take note of the warning and leave (at least until the terror threat blows over).
The Embassy made it a requirement on Friday, that ‘all U.S government officials are to leave the country immediately’. The same restrictions do not apply to citizens or private citizens.
