Controversy: Arizona makes execution of Samuel Villegas Lopez public

TEMPE, ARIZONA: Arizona officials found themselves in hot water this afternoon after the execution of Samuel Villegas Lopez was watched by residents across the state and his own family. 

The execution of Lopez is the first time in the states history that anybody other than prison officials witnessed such measures.

Calls to Arizona officials went unanswered.
