Today’s lineup prolly won’t disappoint to most,  but to us we’re excited to see it regardless of being (team Britain).  Today’s top events to follow:

Team USA Basketball (v 2012):

Time: 9:30 a.m

Team USA and its basketball team will hit center stage in a five exhibition game presumably sweeping the floor as expected by Olympic fans visiting the big event today.

Although, I personally think the biggest threat Team USA will have is none other than French basketball player Tony Parker.

Team USA Gymnastics

4:30 a.m., 6:15 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET

Even though they were overtaken in 2008, the Women’s Gymnastics team (USA) has returned to the Olympics in attempt to regain a Gold Medal run.

The team themselves may pose a big threat to other competitors, as some members include a few lassies whom are quite talented in this specific field:

Jordyn Wieber, Gabrielle Douglas and Aly Raisman.

Can Kim Weber set an Olympic record?

Time: 9:00 a.m

She is one of the most famous shooters to compete in this years Olympics.  Mrs Weber has won medals in all four previous Summer Olympics, and if she makes another in this years games she’ll have set a record according to AmmoLand.com

Do you think she has what it takes?

Chinese rule: Will the Chinese women’s swim team dominate?

10:00 a.m. ET

Its clear ‘swimming’ is a hot topic of discussion at this years Olympic games, from Michael Phelps having lost to Lochte, all eyes are now on the women’s team whom is expected to take home yet another medal for China.

Wu Minxia   has already won gold in two previous Olympic appearances, 5 world championships, and four world cups — so its no doubt we can expect quite a performance from this ladies.

Dana Vollmer: High profile strong return to swimming

2:30 p.m

She first entered the Olympics in 2004 as a 16 year old competitive swimmer looking to dominate with a gold medal, and won — but didn’t qualify in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, however this year made a strong and high profile return to swimming following being diagnosed with a life threatening supra ventricular tachycardia disease at the age of 15.
