London Olympics: U.S ousts China as country with most medals
Its over for Olympic legend Michael Phelps, the history making Olympic star finished his individual career this evening after he scored a third gold medal in his careerĀ and the 17th of his career overall.
The U.S and its teams are now the most medal earners this year at the Games.
Phelps began the race trailing behind many of the competitors but surged forward whooping some major ass in the individual medley finishing by 0.23 seconds. Phelps wasn’t the only American to make history however, 17 year old Calif native Missy Franklin earned her third gold medal and fourth overall smashing records in the backstroke competition.
