London Olympics: U.S mens volleyball team demolished by Italy
LONDON, ENGLAND: U.S Champs no more, the United State’s men’s volleyball team was beaten yesterday by an unprecedented Italian team that showed no mercy on the defending champs.
Paolo Nicolai and Daniele Lupo of Italy were in command most of the match, winning, 21-17, 21-19. Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser initially fell behind 12-7 but regained 19-19 but lost the final two points.
