New Update: Chavis Carter kills self in back of police car
Daily News has learned quite a bit of new information in the shooting-death of 21-year-old Chavis Carter, a young man who was arrested in Jonesboro and later found dead in the back of a police cruiser.
We’ve told that Carter used a .380 caliber cobra semi-automatic firearm to take his own life in the back of a police cruiser after being arrested and handcuffed by authorities.
According to police, the firearm in question had previously been reported stolen by a Jonesboro police officer.
