Gabby Douglas fails to repeat Olympic glory

LONDON, ENGLAND: The ‘Sharp Shooter’ as we at Daily News have begun to call her, unfortunately didn’t quite make it to the top at the North Greenwich Arena last night as she underwent a timing mishap that landed her in last place.

Following the match, Douglas has this to say about her mix-up:

“I could have fought a little harder and pulled it around,” she said. “I tried to finish as strongly as I could, but some days you either have it or you don’t.”
