Tuned in: McKayla Maroney gets in on the ‘Not Impressed’ meme

Its the weekend, and time to review the top 5 most popular events of the week. From McKayla Maroney‘s infamous ‘Not Impressed Meme’ to Oscar Pistorius‘s history making bout in the 400m relay, lets take a walk down week in review.

London Olympics – Teenage gymnast McKayla Maroney found herself even more famous than she expected this week after a hilarious photograph of a smug reaction to winning a silver medal went viral and eventually became memed. Maroney found it so funny herself, she and her girls got in on the fun (Yes we totally just hyper-linked a Chris Chase article).

T.V Watch – Music legend Mariah Carey became the highest paid judge in modern T.V history after accepting an undisclosed amount of money to act as a judge in the next season of FOX’s talent show. Carey will apparently do her duties alongside the likes of .. well.. as we reported yesterday Alanis Morrissette.

London Olympics – Oscar Pistorius lost out on his most recent competition but didn’t go away empty handed. The double amputee made history by ecoming the first amputee ever to compete back to back in two different 400m relays in any on Olympic games. Way to go Oscar.

Politics – GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney officially (after we had previously reported through high level sources) that he had chosen Wisconsin Rep.  Paul Ryan as his presumptive Vice Presidential nominee.  Romney  wasquick to quash any comparisons between  Ryan’s budget plan and hisown.
