Breaking News: Several Afghans beheaded in Helmand

HELMAND, AFGHANISTAN:  Officials in Afghanistan confirm that 10 civilians and 10 additional soldiers have been killed by beheading in the Helmand territory as of last night.   The 10 soldiers were reportedly in the same territory as the insurgents after a checkpoint in the area was attacked.

A spokesperson for the  Helmand Providence confirmed to Daily News after speaking with AFP News Agency that the deaths did in fact take place and went on to tell Daily News that 4 additional soldiers were wounded in the attack and five more are still missing at this time.

UPDATE: We’ve just been informed the correct number of civilians beheaded is in fact 17, instead of  10.
