Millions in Maple Syrup hijacked
Talk about some seriously sticky fingers, no really. Officials in Quebec, Canada revealed over the start of the week that thieves struck a large maple plant just between Montreal and Quebec making off with nearly $30million in Maple Syrup.
Quebec’s Federation of Maple Syrup Producers told the public that they couldn’t e exactly reveal how much of the product was stolen, but estimated that $30million of it had been hijacked.
The theft had been discovered inside of the warehouse during a routine check, which unnamed officials say didn’t initially set off any alarms due to the fact that the plantation was under lock, key, and literally alarms everywhere.
Authorities are currently searching for the culprit.
