Iraq woman beats cleric who told her ‘cover up’
A new twist to the usual Iraq way of doing things? Well, sure. According to state news reports obtained by Bloomberg, an Iraq woman beat a cleric just south of Tehran this week after he reportedly told her to ‘cover up, and shield her eyes’.
“I don’t know what happened after that, all I could feel was the kicks of this woman who was insulting me and attacking me.” He was hospitalized for three days, but he says “commanding right and forbidding wrong” is a religious obligation and he’d do it again. He does call the incident “the worst day of my life.”
