Movie Review: Last Hours in Suburbia
Movie Premiere: Last hours in Suburbia
Premiere date: 9/22/2012
Rating: ****
Who noticed almost instantly that the lead girl is played by none other than the mean girl from Switched at Birth? Perfect match! A quick synopsis pretty much is due here, party girl meets good girl, goes bad girl, heads to college party subsequently meets death. Drunk girl, Grace accused of being responsible for death of friend, except that appears to not be the case.
Following a wild night a party, the blonde girl [ Grace ] attempts to remember what exactly happened the night she went to that party but unfortunately can’t because she feels like it is her friends fault.
The movie itself doesn’t make all that much sense until the grocery store scene whereas the blonde girl [ Grace ] is sucker punched in the face by some random girl she can’t seem to remember, hilariously, who is also after the same man her friend is.
The freakiest part of this film has to be the fact that it plays out more like a choose-your-own adventure as the blonde girl [Grace] apparently killed her best friend in a car crash but doesn’t believe she did because one of her guy friends admitted to her that he was also there that night except well, wasn’t in the car when the police arrived.
Anyone get a feel of Raven Symone kind of? College party, psychic visions… Well minus the hooker clothing.
Let’s take a moment to quickly review (commercial break):
Girls attended college party, with some damn good looking fellows, one ended up severely drunk killing the other during a ride home… to her dismay she was charged with the death of Jennifer but it’sat this point in question as to whom is really responsible in her death.
Grace still can’t seem to piece it together as to what really happened, even her own mum can’t seem to believe that she is responsible for the death of her friend [and drinking as heavily as she did].
You know the drill, I dislike spoiling movies for you guys. A review for this film would literally spoil the entire movie, it’s kind of a …’You can guess what happens next’… in almost every scene.
We have received multiple requests to reveal how the ending ends. Here it is:
The ending of the movie happens to be pretty sad. Grace finally remembers what her last words to Jen were, then subsequently she spends her final moments with her mum before the movie ends in which she is taken to prison for the death of her friend Jennifer.

Honestly wasn’t expecting that ending. It really does keep you guessing throughout. So many possibilities and motives.
I wasn’t able to see the ending? Can you just email me what happened?
In the end it was discovered that the girl Grace wasn’t responsible for the death of her friend. The guy lied, and he was driving.
not so. If that’s as far as you got, then you didn’t finish the movie. Remember, it’s lifetime, so it’s going to be sad at some point, and you didn’t get there yet.
@Brian that is not what happened at the end. We purposely bait our reviews this way to get you to actually watch the movie.
My tv stopped recording the movie after she is crying loudly after talking to the guy that was also in the car. Can someone please email me the real ending!!!!? ali.kayanna@gmail.com
Give me like 20 minutes. I’m nearing the end of the film, received a ton of requests to update this review with the ending. This is my first time watching it
Please tell me how the last 30 minutes played out! How did it end??????????? I had to leave for a surprise b-day party!
I’m updating the review momentarily.
So, was the Paul guy originally driving and how did Grace get into the driver seat? what were her last words to Jennifer?
Remember the scene in the car? ‘Maybe we shouldn’t be friends anymore’ ‘Guess Sept. can’t come fast enough’ those were her last words.
And in the middle of the movie it appeared that Paul was in fact driving, however I’m guessing that since Grace was taken to prison for the death she was ultimately driving.
Those aren’t her final words. But, yes. Ultimately, Grace was the one who was driving, drunk off her ass. But it’s not that simple, and is explained in the last minutes of the movie. Grace saw herself as a screw-up, Abe Jennifer had to tell her otherwise. it’s not black and white. In the end, Grace had time for cake.
