Skydiver aiming to jump from space (literally)
Skydiver Felix Baumgartner is apparently brave enough to announce to the world that he is preparing to break the world’s biggest skydiving record at more than 120,000 feet.
Baumgartner is reportedly preparing to jump from the edge of space, wearing only a space outfit, while attempting to subsequently break the sound barrier while doing so.
If successful, Baumgartner may become the most famous skydiver of all time thanks to his gutsy attempt to make history.
“I’m not nuts,” Baumgartner said when CNN first interviewed him about the project in 2010. “You know, our records are meant to be broken, and I’m a very competitive person. I like the challenge.
