French journalist attacked in Cairo
CAIRO, EGYPT: Egyptian authorities tell Daily News this afternoon that France 24′s Sonia Dridi was attacked this morning following a live broadcast in Tahrir square reporting on the growing protests in the country.
Dridi’s colleague Ashraf Khalil, safely was able to retrieve Dridi from the violence after she was reportedly mobbed by a group of at least 30 men by taking her into a restaurant and having the metal doors steamed shut.
