Typhoon pummels Philipines
DAVAO REGION, PHILIPPINES: According to local weather officials, one of the strongest tornadoes yet this year struck the Philippines early this morning killing a reported forty people and forcing some 50,000 people out of their inundated villages.
Gusts of up to 121mph reportedly struck the region, sending thousands fleeing for safety.
