Ravi Shankar, influence of the Beatles has died

The Beatles surely wouldn’t have become the band they did, well, at least not without the help of Ravi Shankar.  Shankar, the father of  Grammy-winning pop-jazz singer Nora Jones was 92 years old.

“It’s with a very heavy heart that I confirm this sad news,” Shankar’s manager, Earl Blackburn, emailed Bloomberg.com
