Report: Lanza mum planned to have son admitted

According to Fox News, Nancy Lanza apparently had planned to have her son admitted prior to the mass killing that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut earlier this month.

The round-up:

• Though most reports say she had no ties to Sandy Hook Elementary, Flashman says Nancy Lanza volunteered with kindergartners there last year. Adam may have believed that “his mom loved him less than she loved the kids, loved the school,” he says.

• The shooter cut off all ties with his father, Peter Lanza, in 2010, following his parents’ 2009 divorce, a source tells NBC News. The couple separated—apparently amicably—in 2001, and Adam saw his father every week in the ensuing years. The source says Peter hadn’t seen or heard from his son since 2010.

• A close friend of Nancy’s told PIX 11 that Adam was a vegan … because he “didn’t want to hurt animals.”
