Nicki Minaj feared American Idol would make her too famous: Erm..
Dear old Nicki, wait never mind. Apparently rapper Nicki Minaj felt that her coveted seat on the judging panel of American Idol would once make her a bit-too-famous (as if she already wasn’t). In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the rapstress told the mag that she almost didn’t take the spot, due to the ‘judge-mental culture’ of rap itself.
“Sometimes you are afraid of being too famous because it’s almost, like, is that even cool? Being that accessible, someone you see on TV every week?” said Minaj. “I never pictured myself as that type of person. I’m still surprised I decided to do it.”

So, Nicki Minaj is a ‘rapper’, huh? I just thought she was the chick — strike… ‘thing’ — with the large, grotesque rear end. You learn something every day I reckon.
