Welfare just may be slashed if your kid gets crappy grades: No, really
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: If your a resident of Tennessee, and say, on welfare — this news might just upset you. According to a new legislation proposed by lawmaker (Republican of course) Stacey Campfield would slash welfare dividends if a child in a specific household gets crummy grades.
We’re not asking children to re-write the Magna Carta,” he said. “A D-minus gets you through.” in response to harsh criticism from Democratic leaders.
Tennessee already cuts welfare by 20% for those kids who don’t go to school, and with Campfield’s bill — that would be raised to an alarming 30%.
