Twinkies set to return to shelves as billion dollar deal OK’d
It’s official the iconic hostess snacks are set to officially return to shelves nationwide this summer. In a joint statement released by both firms who won the winning bid, the news was made public. Dean Metropoulus confirmed the news — and shared his family’s excitement over re-creating the brand.
Our family is thrilled to have the opportunity to reestablish these iconic brands with new creative marketing ideas and renewed sales efforts and investment,” said Metropoulos. “We look forward to having America’s favorite snacks back on the shelf by this summer. We are also ecstatic to bring jobs back to many cities across the country.”
