Cell phone contracts? A thing of the past for T-Mobile

Written by | March 26, 2013 | 0
Ever wonder what a phone company with phone contracts is like? Welp, go ahead and sign up for the newly reformed T-Mobile and find out. According to the T-Mobile website, the cell phone giant has reportedly axed cell-phone contracts all together, targeting consumers for $50 unlimited plans (500mb of data) and a $70 a month plan (fully unlimited). The move comes on the heels of execs apparently wanting to nix contracts, in exchange for consumers paying for their cell phones without the subsidies that usually knock the prices of pricey phones like the Samsung Galaxy down to more affordable get-ups. Down to the core: Apple stocks free-falling, but company OK for now

Written by | February 14, 2013 | 0
Since the calendar turned 2013, Apple and its stocks have been drawing attention. Al Gore exercised his options as a director on Apple’s board and purchased 59,000 shares of Apple stock in January for a ridiculously low $7.475 each, which was the price when he joined the board in 2003. But that was not the biggest news. Apple stocks closed below the $500 mark for the first time since February 2012. The company hit an all-time high of $702.10 on September 19, with the release of iPhone 5. Four months later, Apple opened at $450.66 on the NASDAQ, one day after releasing its first quarter earnings. This amounts to a 36 percent drop in overall company value or roughly $225 billion. Apple is not going out of business anytime soon, but perhaps it will need some fresh ideas to reclaim its powerful

Written by | January 25, 2013 | 0
Apple Inc, makers of the improbable iPhone have lost one of their most memorable titles. ‘The world’s most valuable company’ no longer belongs to the tech-makers, as it now reportedly belongs to Exxon Mobile — at least according to Mashable. Since then, however, Apple’s stock has been plagued by iPhone 5 sales concerns, a shakeup in the company’s executive leadership, and increasing competition in the smartphone and tablet markets, most notably from Samsung,” writes Mashable‘s Seth Fiegerman. Adds an analyst: “It’s a reality check on inflated expectations.” Related articles Exxon Mobil Passes Apple as No. 1 Company (newser.com) Exxon surpasses Apple as world’s most valuable company (kmov.com) Exxon More Golden Than Apple
