4 Self-Care Habits For Low-Maintenance Women

You don’t have to purchase a gazillion new products, spend hours in front of the mirror, or strive to look like a completely different version of yourself to enjoy self-care. In fact, the concept of self-care is to provide yourself with the time and the space necessary to do what aligns with your values and feels right to you, your body, and your soul.

However, if you are looking for some extra inspiration, read on for four self-care habits for low maintenance women.

1. Start a regular morning yoga practice.

Committing to a regular morning yoga or stretching practice is a fantastic way to transform your brain chemistry and boost your mood while squeezing in some much needed “you time.”

Even doing just 15 minutes of yoga in the morning can bring you a wide array of benefits including improved flexibility, strength and posture, better all-around fitness, weight loss due to an increased metabolic rate, reduced stress, and improved concentration.

Luckily, you can find thousands of guided yoga sessions on the Internet that will satisfy whatever level and needs you have. All you need is a mat and your body, and you will be ready to go!

2. Try out dry-brushing.

Dry-brushing is a centuries-old beauty ritual that is key to having radiant skin and greater overall health. Easy to do at home, to dry brush, you need to take a body brush and massage your body in an upward motion gently. It is recommended that you dry brush once or twice a week.

The benefits will be seen almost instantly. You will notice that your skin is brighter and more moisturized and dead skin will be nowhere to be found.

Other positive effects of dry-brushing include enhancing blood circulation and lymph flow, mitigating cellulite and stretch marks, expelling toxins, alleviating stress, decreasing swelling, and halting the aging process.

If you pair regular dry-brushing with a selection of spa services in Dubai (or wherever you reside), you will be feeling incredible both inside and out.

3. Make an LVL lash treatment appointment.

An LVL lash treatment is the ultimate beauty treatment for low-maintenance women who want to look good with minimal effort. It is a fabulous idea for those who don’t want to don mascara on a daily basis.

The acronym LVL stands for “lash, volume, lift,” and treatments (usually) also include a lash tint. The process involves a qualified therapist applying a setting serum to straighten your natural lashes, and then tinting them to produce the look of mascara.

You can choose the color based on your personal preferences, and the whole procedure doesn’t take very long (generally no more than an hour) — which is incredible, considering you can expect the effects to last up to eight weeks.

So, if you want gorgeous, fluttery lashes without needing any products or an eyelash curler, then you know what to do!

4. Indulge in a bath.

Is there anything more luxurious than taking an entirely indulgent bath? You know, one where there are no electronics or other people around. A bath where you dim the lights and burn your favorite candles. Let’s go a step further and include essential oils, aromatic dried flowers, and soothing music.

However you choose to do it, the important thing is to take the time to create a space you enjoy while focusing on your breath and engaging your senses.

If you do opt for a long bath, make sure you add some minerals into the water such as Epsom salt (which is rich in magnesium, calcium, and potassium), as it will help to hydrate your skin, soothe your aching muscles, and detox any impurities while you are relaxing. A winning solution!
