Diamond in the Rough: 6 New Grand Seiko Watches

What you may deem as the Academy Awards for luxury watches, the Baselworld Watch and Jewellery Show, was canceled in 2020. Knowing how bleak the state of the world is during that year, it might no longer come as a surprise. However, this will not stop a prestigious luxury watch brand from adding a bit of hope and remaining steadfast. In 2020, Grand Seiko celebrated its 60th anniversary. The Tokyo-based luxury watch brand did not let itself become fazed with the looming pandemic during the time and still pushed through with its diamond anniversary. To celebrate a memorable year for the brand, the brand has released new models. Baselworld might have been postponed, but the company still marked the year as theirs. Here are these models:

1.  Grand Seiko SLGH003

Some watch lovers think that the Grand Seiko SLGH003 might just be one of the best watches out there last 2020. What they love about this watch is its movement. This Superman-like watch has a movement with a double impulse escapement. This technology is a smart innovation for Grand Seiko, which even took nine years for Grand Seiko to develop. Its blue dial contrasts magnificently with the red second hand. The SLGH003 might be 40mm big, but it is sleek and thin with an 11.1mm case. The stainless-steel watch provides a more comfortable fit.

2.  Grand Seiko SLGH002

4.  Grand Seiko SBGA427

Another model from the Heritage Collection is the SBGA427. Some might notice that the Japanese have a high veneration of nature around them. The brand even says that the SBGA427 got its inspiration from the year’s first frost from a bamboo forest in Arashiyama, Kyoto. You will see this with the light-silver design of the Grand Seiko SBGA427. The watch has different sizes of vertical lines as hour markers which are also diamond-polished.
